I don't know about everyone else, but I really treasure the time on board a flight, in that let's me either work without distraction (relatively speaking), or kick-back and enjoy a film, book etc.
The Times at the weekend mentioned that VAA are considering enabling passengers to be able to use their mobiles during a flight. I am one of those people who get irritated by being subjected to other people's phone calls (if I can't move somewhere else) - it seems that the worst offenders are also the owners of the loudest most penetrating voices. Also, it's usually men.
How do you feel about being subjected to one of those "...Hi... I'm on the plane..."calls - when you can't move to another carriage, part of the bar etc? Even the railways have "mobile-free" carriages...
