Not like me to look at the internet on holiday but I need your expert knowledge.

We arrived here fine - flight fantastic as ususal. We are staying at the Colony Club and there is no check in chill out service here.

Our rep. wants us to arrive at Grantley Adams 3 hours before departure and feel this is correct for Economy but we are flying UC.

Can someone tell me what time we should be at check in before departure? I am waiting to here back from the rep but wanted to call on your expert knowledge.

Thanks.

PS LGW lounge was as fantastic as everyone has said! Will report when I get home.

Jilly

According to the Virgin Holidays FAQ, 3hrs before departure is the recommended time for all classes. But then again, VS' own Ts&Cs recommend 2hrs as a minimum. I don't know what the lounge facilities are like there.

Maybe go for the difference and check-in 2.5hrs before? :D

Cheers

Hi Jilly

Flew out a few weeks ago - here is my advice:

Airport is being upgraded at the moment so there is little to do

The lounge facility for UC is very poor not even worth the trip

I would say two hours before departure is more than enough (an hour would be ok buy not worth the risk)

You have to walk out to the plane and our aircon on the plane was out so it was very hot and sticky so be warned just in case

Wish I was still out there - you must go to the "Cliff" for a great meal

Regards,

Marcus

thanks michael and marcus think we will aim to be there around 2 hours before departure.

Marcus haven't been able to get into the Cliff yet - its full of footballers apparently notably Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs to name but a few but neither would impress me - now if there were a few tennis stars about that would be different.

Thanks again must return to my sunbathing - its hard work for some.

What an awful time you must be having (now, where's that green-eyed smiley again?) :D

Enjoy the rest of your holiday :)

Say hello to Pete and Angie Brooks (son, James) for me. The Cliff is wonderful, but make sure to ask for a cliffside table.

Hi Jilly, Colony Club is a great place, have you been to the small A La Carte restaurant on the first floor yet, I forget it's name but we had a good time there.

Also the Cliff was fantastic, and so closeby too, hope you get there during your stay, any probs just pull rank, tell them your a V-Flyer ;)
