I wanted to book flights to Miami in March and checked the Virgin website. Its showing a total of £5,100 approx for two passengers UC whereas for the same dates, BA is £2,700 approx. In fact for most of March Virgin is almost double the price. Does anyone reckon Virgin might drop their prices. And yes I have looked miles + money - not much saving. The best VS could suggest was flying out UC and back Economy with an immediate miles upgrade to UC which still worked out more than BA and used up 30,000 miles each.

Do prefer the Virgin "experience" but not at that price. Anyone have any thoughts before I book with BA.[:(]

What dates are you travelling?

I've just looked and can only find a difference of about £200 per person for the 9th-23rd (purely random) between UC and CW

UC - £2579
CW - £2343

We want to go 8th March and back on 22nd March - I'm still seeing the lower BA fare - its "lowest" fare I'm looking at.
Thanks

Looks like BA are having a 'sale' as it is only £699 eachway.

I'd say book it now and get that bargain.

mmm, I know I should grab it - what I want is for Virgin to have its own sale, just wondered if there was any liklihood of that happening soon? They currently have a sale but Miami is not one of the destination.

I would hazard a guess that the next UC sale will probably start around 20/12 - 22/12 given trends over the past few years...:D

Use your free Expertflyer hits and check the VS loads for your dates - If plenty of seats are available then it may be prudent waiting if you want to travel with VS.

Once the VS sale starts for your dates the price should be similar to BA's current offering...:D
