Booking at the Hilton (Las Vegas)

Hi,

I'm looking at hotel options for my Vegas trip in June this year. Looking at booking for the 21st - 29th June. I know Virgin have offers on for flying club members but not sure what exactly I'll be getting.

What can I expect to receive exactly, for booking these dates through Virgin?
Hilton offer a military discount on there website, can I still get the discount booking through Virgin?

Don't know if this will help, you probably already know this.

If you book thru Hilton direct (& belong to, or join their loyalty scheme) I believe you can get military discount, HHonours points AND flying miles when you select VA & enter your FC no with their 'double-dipping' scheme.

I don't get military discount but do get HHonours points [^]& FC miles.[^] I have found that if I make any specific requests eg, higher floor, larger room etc my requests have always been forthcoming.[^][^]
At the end of the day I guess it will be working out the costs compared to miles/points/discounts etc.
What is worth thinking about is the rate of exchange if you pay at departure.
We have paid at the end of our stays & with the favourable rate of exchange have done ok.
