Well, the first Hurricane of the US season is upon the east coast, heading up towards New york.
Could be some "Bumpy" virgin flights over the next few days!
Oh, and a lot of rain perhaps for us in a weeks time

During my time in the navy, we had a saying regarding hurricanes/tropical storms in the Caribbean and Southern U.S. States:-

JUNE - too soon (too early)

JULY - standby (coming up)

AUGUST - a must (height of season)

SEPTEMBER - remember (diminished chance of hurricane)

Isn't there an increased chance of hurricanes in september - autumn as the sea is the warmest then? Let us not forget Hurricane Isabel

One thing is for sure TRS's cannot cross the equator and they rotate in different directions in each hemisphere.

I looked at this thread because of its title. I thought 'bumpy virgins', probably the same as 'lumpy jumper' in the Army (ie the fairer sex).

Then I find out that it is all about tropical storms! Probably with less wind than a can of beans and less rain than Manchester:D

So Ive packed my shorts for Boston, now I am going to need my Barbour goodie:D

It now looks like the possibility is that we will ALL be bumpy Virgins unless this hurricane changes course!
Its now turning out to be the most severe storm at there latitudes fo a long long time and its heading our way! (UK that is)

the whole of the US side of the Atlantic and the US seems to be very bumpy at the moment. flew AA from SFO to JFK last week- huge thunder storms all the way from just this side of the California border- very bumpy. Then VS BOS-LHR storms apporaching eastern seaboard area proved bumpy for bout first 2 hours of flight on sunday evening. so it seems anytime of this year is bumpy with all the US storms- ironic really flew the whole way round the world and only real turbulence was on the last leg!
