Am I the only one who's experienced 100% failure to check in on-line? I've tried 4 times, once on each leg of 2 flights to LAX. The system very convincingly lets you laboriously enter all the details, only to say at the very end something like "I'm sorry, we were unable to check you in on-line, please check in at the airport".

What's the point of the system if it doesn't work. Called the FC, and they said they'd "look into it". 2 weeks later the same thing again....[:(!]

I only used it once 18th July 2004 VS27 MCO-LGW it worked fine in itself although didn't dive me the seat allocation I needed so I checked in again @MCO..

Online check-in is probably a waste of time for anybody travelling in Premium Economy or Upper, or who has at least Silver membership. Anyone else, who has to brave the Economy queue, might find it saves them some time. But it's not as good as the BA online system which lets you nab an exit row at T-24 hours.
