A few delays last night, VS74 delayed 1 hour and gates changed (even the crew did not know, they were turning up at 85 to be told by the VS outsourced at 83 that the gate had changed)
VS 27 delayed also.
I can only throw light on the VS16 delays, which were a combination of things.
First of all it was delayed 15 mins, no explination given apart from the cleaners were taking longer than expected (though VS checkin told us the flight was 15 mins late at 3pm)
Then we had a passneger on a stretcher, so this had to wait until all on board, so delayed the flight by an hour, then after departing the gate, we had to come back as Engine No3 would not fire up, turned out to be a seized starter, so instead of departing at 19:45, we eventually took off at 23:15 Did not get the name of the aircraft.
Flight over very bumpy due to winter storm hitting Northeast USA
Got into Gatwick at 12 Noon instead of 08:30
Whats this 4oC by the way? I want my 28oC back!!
