I have some PE Upgrade vouchers, and am starting to think these are much better value than the Companion ticket.

Is it possible to use these with the reduced mileage offers Virgin regularly run ?

Particularly thinking about New York or Boston.

36,000 miles, into PE and Lounge is a pretty tempting offer, if it can be done.

Not sure if you can still do this but VS allowed me to do this to ORD last August. Got a feeling the rules have changed since though.

That is not made very clear anywhere. I can't see any mention of it on the VS Amex sign up page and if it is in the t&c's then it is not very clear at all[?]

This is from the T&Cs for the Miles Further offer

From FC T&Cs

4.2.7Miles Further

d) The offer is applicable to Adult, Child and Infant redemption fares. It cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

Not definitive but seems to cover the use of a reward upgrade.

4.3.6 Flying Club upgrades cannot be used in conjunction with any promotional fare or discount.

7.3 Rewards may not be combined or used with other promotional offers including, without limitation, discount coupons, free travel certificates, premium offers or other promotional fares.

I read the 4.3.6 one but thought that was for revenue fares but I guess the 7.3 covers it all anyway, thanks.
