Hello,
Flying UC from MCO into LGW but have a 4 hour wait for a BA flight back up to edinburgh.

It transpires that as I bought a separate ticket with BA I dont have any lounge access rights. The only independent lounge at Gatwick north is the Aviance suite that has an over 12's policy. I will be travelling with my wife and 5 year old son.

So the question is, is there any way to get access to a BA lounge (or any other @ gatwick north) on payment or otherwise?

Hi poggsuk and welcome to V-Flyer.

If you are flying in UC you are entitled to use the US Airways lounge on your arrival in LGW in Gatwick south as a Revivals lounge. I would suggest that by the time you have gone through immigration and customs and used that lounge for a shower and something to eat, it will have eaten (no pun intended) into your 4 hour layover. I'm not sure however, what their policy is with regard to young children even if they have flown in UC but someone else might know

Thanks. I will investigate. I am flying on a Z fare. Will I still get access to the arrivals? I am not too keen on spending too long there as I will need to get the luggage sharpish as my wife is 'sniffy' about leaving it unguarded anywhere. So really we would like to check in to BA, dump the bags and get into a GAtwick north lounge.

So any ideas anyone?

Yes, all ticketed Upper Class passengers (miles, cash, discounted or not) are entitled to use the lounge on arrival. Just no guests...

Hi

You can take your luggage with you into the very large shower cubicles if you want. There is plenty of space and its nice to change into fresh clothes.

Have used this 'plan' many times. Get the later flight back from MCO which is usually late in anyway and arrives 9ish,by the time you struggle through immigration and get your bags it can be easily 10ish, a nice relaxing shower, then over to the North terminal to catch the flight to EDI around twelveish.

Thanks for the tips.

The arrival lounge sounds like the plan
