Slightly of topic, but I feel like sticking my oar in and saying that US Airways was by far the worst airline I've ever flown with.
Chose to go with them in october last year to new york as it was the cheapest option, although it did mean going via pittsburgh.
Flight from Gatwick to pittsburgh was on an ancient 767-200, with no entertainment apart from the communal movie screen, which you couldn't see because noone would close their windows to block out the sun.
At pittsburgh my connection was cancelled due to a cracked windshield, so I had to wait an extra 4 hours before flying to laguardia.
at newark (where I should have flown into) for the way back, they had two 737-400s waiting for two flights due to leave around the same time, mine to pittsburgh, and another to charlotte. but they couldn't decide which plane to use for which trip, making us so late anyone with connections was screwed.
So I complained and flew home with continental, and I can see why Virgin partner with them, they're great
