Just a quickie.

What are these availability tools, I've heard a "Mathias' availability tool" mentioned before now. Well I v=can guess what they are, but are they downloadable from the net, are they free? etc etc.

Cheers in advance!

Hi Dean

You can get Mathias' availability tool from:
http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~hartberg/ft/SabretoolSetup.htm

Basically, you enter your flight details, and can see what the availability is like in each of the bucket classes. It might be helpful to have Richard's guide to fare classes (http://www.virginflyer.com/codes.asp) handy while you're looking at it :)

Thanks for that mcuth.

I've dowqnloaded this before but didn't know what to do with it. :)
I'm guessing on the list of details next to my flight is the number of seats left available in each class? J4 means there four seats left in that class....?

Yeah, you're on the right lines - I think this thread http://www.virginflyer.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=777 should give you the rest of the information you need :)

Don't worry about everything being in German as you download it - you ony need to input codes once it is installed.

Coped with downloading it in German.

How did I ever live without this!
Not sure if its ever going to help me in any way, but its good to know there are at least 12 UC class seats available on my net JFK flight. I'm in K - I can dream! [8D]

Did I miss something?
I have just checked the availability tool and it does not appear to be listing the number of seats in each class any more e.g. J4.

A temporary thing I hope!

Seemed ok to me last time I used it (this morning). It's in the downtime period right now, so if I get a chance tomorrow, I'll have a look :)

It does appear to be set out slightly differently from today and now includes a flight time but the bucket codes are still there.

Curious....

It was only listing the flight options yesterday when I hit 'submit' but you could still get the seat maps...

Michael

Thanks.

All I got yesterday was the aircraft type and the journey time and nothing else.
However, I'll get my eyes tested tomorrow in any case!

Oh dear!

I just got the extract below from the tool. I can find out the availablity in each class but I have to request the information separately. Thus, when I put in class of travel Y, this is what I got.

I would rest my case if I knew what it was!

cheers

If you leave the class box empty it will show availability in all classes.
