Well it was last year the 747 started flying with suites! You should expect a similar timescale for the 346!

The seat maps dont look anywhere near as nice as Pix's do now though ;)

Does anybody know if G-VEIL is flying yet??? [?]

While I agree that Pix's seat maps look nicer, would it not be beneficial to perhaps use copies of the VS versions where they are available? dives for cover

Just a thought ;)

The other problem is that they now do not have the a/c reg for each seat version, so most people will have no idea what a/c they should be looking at the seat plan for!

There does seem to have been a few months gap now in rolling out UCS - I guess they are sorting out the current minor niggles on the current UCS fleet.

Pix. Does this give you enough info to update your seat map for the 742. At last I've proof my row 18 is not in the galley! :D

CeeJay - I updated the 747-200 seatmap a couple of weeks ago.

Although it's a step forward that VS have updated their seat maps, the blocky layout means it doesn't really give you a sense of scale, or the staggered layout of some of the rows. Row 18 in the centre on that 747-200, for instance, is slightly further back than the AC/HK seats - and the new Virgin maps don't show that. The squared-off design also makes the position of the wings slightly iffy.

Call me biased, but I prefer mine ;)

Totally agree about the seatplan designs - Hats off to Pix for a much more professinal looking design.Plus you can see the whole aircraft, not just sections.

Good to see VS updating their website though

Pix, My sincere apologies as I have now found the updated plan as 747-200 (new layout). When the window first opened to show 747-200 I was clicking straight onto that and not bothering to use the 'drop down'. I'm afraid we non-frequent flyers don't appreciate that there could be so many variants. Would it be worth annotating the other as 747-200 (old layout) to prevent other dumbos like me troubling you. :)

Thank you for the excellent work that you do and I agree, you could get a job updating the Virgin site. It might be worth a few extra miles/tier points for you!!!

Good suggestion CeeJay,

I've updated the database and made a minor modification to the page so it doesn't display the old layout in the list (least it lead to confusion, since the old layout isn't in use anymore).

Nope - Pix' seat maps are much better. The UCS suite map (looks as if the seats (or should I say Suites;)) are facing in the normal angle. Also, having to move the map down is not too easy instead of just looking at it in one! It's good though that Virgin has updated the seat maps.
