Hello,
I've been lurking around here for ages now and finally got round to registering, as i visit this forum almost every day!

There aren't enough virgin atlantic appriciation sites on the web but this one is pretty cool
After flying Virgin last march to Boston i don't think i could even consider flying trans-atlantic with anyone else, the mission for this year is to fly UCS, roll on saturdays lottery!
Anyways, hello to you all, you all seem lovely (although you all get to fly UC too often ;) )
Heres hoping to many happy posts!

Ven

Welcome aboard Ven! It's a mixed bunch here really - even those who fly UC all the time (not me I hasten to add) have probably done their time in economy and pe. Most likely when they were paying .

Hi Ven,

Welcome to our little world, please don't be scared of asking questions or commenting on topics :)

I know when I first started flying, I looked forward to the days when I could fly in UC - It was 2 years later that I actually got to fly UC, I booked my 21st Birthday flights to MCO in UC - left the parents and siblings back in steerage.... :)

There are some regular UC flyers here, but there is also the diverse audience of other flyers and actual VS staff!

Thanks,
Richard

Hi Jetgirl!

keep saving those pennies!

not all of us are upper class high flyers you know!

I got an upgrade to Upper (in Y class no less LAX-LHR 2 years ago), and after saving the pennies get my first purchased Upper Class (hopefully Suite) flights to/from SFO in June

my advice : work hard, save, and keep buying the lottery :):)

Hi Ven - welcome to the site :)

Chances are there'll be someone here that knows the answer (or knows someone that does!) to a VS question you want to pose.

Like Decker says, it's a mixed bunch in here - I've only managed to fly UC twice, on miles upgrades, mostly go in PE now (spoilt - once you get a taste of that extra leg room & seat width.....:D)

Oh, and don't feed the inmates (that Decker keeps mentioning pies) - I'm trying to lose a bit of weight :D)

Cheers

Michael

Hi,
There are some of us who don't flight Upper Class, and fly Economy or Premium. We hopefully will though soon!

As has been said many times on the board - once you have turned left after you have got on the plane, you want to do it again, and again and again.:):)

Even though Operational Upgrades are minimised by VS and all airlines, if you are and have been a happy economy passenger, receiving an OU to Premium or Upper makes you want to always fly this way - thus ensuring a higher revenue passenger for the future!

I and my wallet know that, Jon. After my first (free) taste of the pointy bit, I couldn't bring myself to fly at the back of the Bus again.

It's like a drug, and VS are the dealer... :D

I've passed the ecstasy stage of PE and am now hooked on the harder stuff. My cold turkey seems to last forever!

Hi Ven

Welcome, know what you mean, I cant get through the day without reading every message on this site. Took me 20 years to get into UC. Problem is can never go back and since I pay for my own flights it costs a fortune, which is never easy spending money as a tight Yorkshireman

Thanks everyone for welcoming me to the forum, exactly as i thought, everyone is lovely.

The only reason i'm obsessed with UCS is because of the suite website, it looks so bloody brilliant! Looking forward to the day I 'turn left', just can't wait to pretend i'm a rock star!!!!
Alas, economy will do for now......

Thanks again everyone!

Rock Star! :)

Work your way up - give PE a whirl....

And if you want to try out the LHR Clubhouse - book a flight the same day as one of us Gold's!

Thanks,
Richard
