Alan

many thanks - also for starting up an interesting topic.

Perhaps you could extend it by asking where Virginflyers might like to be sent on VS to do a piece for the BBC.

Once again many thanks

Ban this user please.... :)

And the the intersting story I was told about Jade's 'marriage'

I thought that it was BA that were giving her free flights anyway.

Thanks,
Richard

Jessie Wallace on flight to LAX in July 2002. The funny part was she was in one of our seats and my wife kicked her out without realising who it was:D

New forum member, loads of VS flights, etc.

Met Billy Connolly in the LHR lounge and got his autograph - he didn't have the energy to look up at me from his paper [:(]

DOES THIS COUNT...
Flew Zurich to LHR (ok, Swiss, not Virgin) and sat in front (my friends were soooo impressed I was in front) of Posh and Becks, just after he got 2nd place in Euro footballer of the year. Got their autographs too. They were nice people :)

Here's to LGW suites

I know crew that have been on flights with them, and they all say that they are really nice people. Oh and VS don't lose their luggage....

Thanks,
Richard

No connection to Virgin at all, i'm afraid, but 2 weeks ago I saw Alistair Stewart around the United check-in area of LHR (think he was checking in for Business, because First has its own check in quite far awya), and then later on milling around the shops.

He's an ITV News presenter as well as "London Tonight" presenter, for those outside the capital.

Sheesh, you missed off his best one - "Police, Camera, Action" (until he admitted drink-driving) :D

Cheers

Of course, whoops! I forgot the most shameful episode in his presenting career!

You mean the show, or the drink-drive incident? :D

(FWIW, I thought the show was pretty good :))

Knowing that it was The Banking Scot Birthday today, we had Richard Banson met us in the Clubhouse at LGW. He arrived in the Clubhouse, went into the toilets and came out dressed in a Captains outfit, then anouncing that he was not flying the plane! He had a coffee and came over to chat to us. He was there for a photo shot to promote the new uniforms.

eurohill - I think that nugget requires some more details!

So, did you meet up with TBS in the lounge? What did you chat to Sir Dicky about? What do the new uniforms look like?

So many questions!

Yes I did meet TBS in the lounge and we had a very good flight to MCO. I will let TBS give the details of his chat wth SRB. The photo shot was going to be on the lines of the Film Catch me if you can, but we did not see the new uniforms. We were wondering why the Clubhhouse was full of more Virgin staff than passenages!

ItÕs taken me some time to admit who I met on a flight from LGW-MCO, I could see a bright orange glow from the corner of my eye. It was Dale Winton who had come up from UC to PE to talk to one of his friends who was on the same flight. He obviously didnÕt want to stump up the money to upgrade his friend. :D

Who would you dread sitting next to on a transatlantic crossing?
My suggestions would be:
Christine Hamilton
Victoria Beckham- WouldnÕt want to say ÒCan I squeeze by you to get to the LoosÓ to
her!
Anybody from a reality show

But as I have a long track record of sitting next to the flight ÒweirdoÓ I am sure that one of these days I would be sat next to anyone of the people I mentioned above.[:o)]

Have been many rows away from Jackie Onassis on a QZ flight back in the early 80's. Sat up front with Bianca Jagger and (I think) Westlife on JFK-LHR in November last year. Have been in J with that astronaut blokey - Buzz (Lightyear? ;)) Aldrin. Have also sat in J with the now-defunct boyband 5ive. And then there was the time I was also sat right next to two of the Corrs on an EI flight from LHR-DUB. Was snoozing all the way through the flight (nightmares about crashing planes kept me awake the night before!), and slept through the landing announcement. So naturally when we slammed into the runway at Dublin, kinda hard, it caught me by surprise - and I yelled out a profanity. *blush*. And then got comforted by the Corrs. :) bless them :)
However I'm rather bad at recognising people, which I guess makes me an ideal person to be put in the same cabin as celebrities wanting to remain hassle-free - I wouldnt know them from adam :)

Sol Campbell. VS 45 LHR - JFK this morning. Staying in NY for a break and to visit family. Sat on his own in 7A, wearing a Sean Coombs sweatshirt and the biggest Timberlands you've ever seen.
