I'm getting increasingly jealous of friends who are earning tens of thousands of BA miles with their Tesco Clubcard..

Any hope that Tescos or another supermarket would offer conversion to VS Miles in future?

I would say it's very unlikely that Tesco will offer conversion to VS miles along with BA miles - BA will almost certianly have a exclusive deal on this. It is rather annoying to read the BA forum on FlyerTalk and see how easy it is to earn vast quantities of miles at Tesco. It would seem it's a far easier method than actually flying BA :D.

Nectar, IMHO, would be the obvious choice since they do not offer miles conversion to any frequent flyer scheme at present. Unfortunately it seems Nectar is at death's door, with Barclaycard no longer offering Nectar collection to new customers and some sources suggesting Debenhams and Sainsbury's are considering their future involvement. Very interesting.

Didn't even know Tesco Clubcard did this - should obviously keep my ear to the ground a bit more.

For those of you who don't know:

1 point per £ spent at Tesco
Conversion at rate of 250 points = 600 BA miles
I always do the maths and cash wise 1 point = 1 penny (if you convert to Tesco vouchers) so 600 miles for £2.50 is pretty good. It would be great if I could convert my wretched Nectar points at the same rate - I have about 90k of them (230k VS miles - hmmmmmm!!!)

Also interesting to note that you can get 60 Air miles for 250 points. As an example you can get a return trip to NY in VS Y class (Feb) for 2710 Air miles so about £113 of points.
