and courtesy of a terribly nice lady at Macy's in SF every attendee will receive the legendary "International Savings Card" giving you 11% off all purchases at Macy's valid until March 2005. Thanks to RM for pointing out the existence of such a beast.

...And, courtesy of those lovely folks at Virgin Atlantic, we have a selection of VS branded merchandise. Sadly not enough for everyone to have one of each - but I'll figure out a fair way for everyone to get summink.

The assortment includes T Shirts, Umbrellas, Car Stickers, Key Rings and Pens.

Thank you Virgin!

Thanks Virgin, thanks Pix & thanks Decker - this is going to be one heck of a do :)

BTW, what sort of time are we going to aim for meeting in the Pheasant? The Ibis has a noon check in, so a whole afternoon session could be likely :D

Cheers

Decker - well hey, I only said the Ibis has a check-in at noon - if you want to dust off your old drinking boots and start then, that's fine by me ;)

Of course, I'll have to have my arm twisted to join in so early :D

Cheers

Hi all. My first post......thanks to Richard and FlyerTalk. I will be trying to get through the threads over the coming weeks, but thought it might be a good chance to meet some of the people that post frequently here and on other sites, such as FT. If there is still an opportunity for me to come, show my face (drunk albeit at the end of the evening) and say hello, then I would like to attend. I will wait for a response from those that are incharge or organising and see what the situation is.

Anyway, great forum from what I have seen so far and I am sure that I will pick up tons of usefuls along my travels through some of the threads here.

Best Regards

KVU

Hi KVU, and welcome to V-Flyer.

The more the merrier at the event on the 12th, so it would be a pleasure to have you along. I'll add you name to the list of attendees on page 1 of this thread.

Thanks for welcome pix. I will probably be staying at a hotel nearby as well as I dont plan to travel back to London or Upminster that evening. I am not a virgin wizz kid by any means so you guys/gals will have to excuse me when you start talking in VS codes etc. I can contribute to any social and alchol related question so look forward to that.

Best

*COUGH* Before it is forgotten (or alleged otherwise), I would also like to throw my hat into the ring as a beer specialist. I thank you for your kind attention to this fact :D

Oh, and welcome KVU - sounds like you'll be in with very good company [8D] (BTW, there's a few of us at the Ibis if you haven't booked your hotel yet :))

Cheers

Well I love my guiness and red wines so if anyone is up for that then bring it on. Haven't booked my hotel Mcuth so will look into that. Thanks

KVU - I like a nice red wine, but not generally on a night out, unless accompanying a civilised meal. Don't really do Guinness unless there's no real ale or vodka :D Link to the Ibis, the rate was £44.95...still showing availability too...

RM - [:p] so there :D

Mrs D is not wanting to be the only wife amongst pile of boozy blokes so unless we hear otherwise this might be a boys night out :-). Spoke to the manager at the Pheasant and seems he's a Virgin fan... always chooses VS - hurrah!
