Vs are running their UCS ads between 23rd May and 4 July.
In 50, 40 and 30 second formats.
In London, Central South, South East and some national satellite.
Look for it around - Euro 2004 games, British Grand Prix, and Champions League Final.

do you know if this is the re-run of the same ads from the last campaign (the beauty sleep ones ending with "Alice Copper")

or are they new?

Saw the new VS UC add at 15:10 on ITV after the Monaco GP finished but before the Press Conference, pretty good! Thought the suites looked great, it appeared not too difficult to see over the partition assuming you are travelling with a friend, looked a bit restricted towards the knee area when used as a bed though.

The "Alice" play on Alis(tair) McGowan was very clever :D

BTW Freeway I have altered the Topic heading to read Sunday as you had the date right (23rd) but not the day ;)

Saw the ad after the GP too - nice to see, especially as BA have the placement during the Cricket [8D]

(edited cos Bazz changed it to Sunday :D)

Cheers

It's an interesting little device that. BTW, it's spelt "Center" even for the UK version ;)

But i'm sure you knew that! :)

But of course, just making it more UK friendly.

The new version that I'm currently testing is better still, two channels at once and a lot quicker!

Only downside is, after 2 weeks away I have stack loads of TV to catch up on....

Thanks,
Richard

Ooh! Just saw one of the ads! FAB! Cool soundtrack and a much more 'young & hip' feel than the BA adverts (which, though OK and updated still feel 'dated').

Good work VS :)

Now they just need to be shown all over the place like the BA ads ;)

You mean they need to do the following with the advert:

more places, more often, more business.... :)

Thanks,
Richard

Two channels at once is always a great feature. Sky+ has been able to do this since the "Dual Record" update although i must say i haven't found the need for it that often!

Microsoft have got a challenge on their hands trying to match the ease-of-use of Sky+, although I accept the extras that Windows XP brings such as web browsing and email etc. will make Media Center pretty unique, and user interfaces are something MS tend to get right.

Nah the killer bit is the Extender technolgies that are coming this fall...

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/medi ... efault.asp

Try doing that on Sky+!

Don't get me wrong Sky+ is awesome, but with this all setup properly it really will be even better! Every room in my house will have an extender (be it via an Xbox or one of the OEM devices) - all able to access my entire music, photo, video and TV library.

Oh and I best be a good boy and tie this shameless plug back to travel, just imagine you can go away on your Virgin Holiday without having to worry about videotapes. You can have all your episodes of Top Gear and Airport recorded, whilst the missus can be happy that Corrie/Eastenders will be recorded...

Thanks,
Richard

Ahhh yes, very clever indeed!

But until Microsoft buys News Corporation (unlikely, at least for now :)), it will never have two sky digital tuners incorporated into it!

How else to record 24 whilst watching Las Vegas Uncovered? :)

Not sure if I qualify as a thinking man yet (MENSA entry doesn't mean anything...)

But then Vicki... and an older lady too!

Thanks,
Richard

What a welcome surprise - the ads are back! Just seen one on ITV (Meridian) in the gap between the news & "Doc Martin" :)

Cheers

Had to laugh to myself - looking at the BA website (booking for a friend) and a Virgin pop-up Ad came on advertising their services...wondering is that a real clever ploy, or just an accidental concidence?!

Oh well, it made me chuckle!
