Good good, Logan's a terrible airport! The three times I have been there I have found it very crowded and fustrating. Also, once landed I always have to wait ages before they let you into the customs/immigration hall. As its very small they have to let the crowds die down before letting you off the plane :-(

But the VS staff at BOS are great!

One of them walked me and my friend to the nearest bar after we checked in for our flight in December. The day before all flights out of BOS had been cancelled due to the weather, so it was a stressful time for them, but they kept up to the great service.

Thanks,
Richard

Which of the three New York airports is actually in the running? Is it one of the biggies or just La Guardia?

Go NYC! :)

Though SF wouldn't be so bad either ;)

JFK would seem to be the winner for me! 3 flights per day from LHR and while SFO is a great airport, would anybody want to double-back east to anywhere past LAS?

Cheers

I'd be happy with either - but - I rather it was LAX [8D]

Thats good to hear! I must admit I only flew once out of Boston on VS. The other two times were with AA out of Terminal B [|)] Way too crowded!

RM,

couldn't agree more about the VS staff at BOS (and not just because they have upgraded me before ;))

Have had the same escort through to the bar in the departure lounge, check in lady (sorry forgot her name) was concerned i wouldn't find the smoking area, she was a fellow smoker.

After that saw her again at the boarding queue and on board, every time she was smiling and chatty and telling me to enjoy the upgrade. Wonderful service.

Never underestimate the power of "star power". As the SF Chronicle stated: "Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has telephoned Branson to lobby on behalf of San Francisco International Airport ..."

My money would be on SF with its totally redesigned airport, new people mover that connects conveniently to BART and the City in 30 mins. SF's tourism has suffered dramatically since the dot.com crash and then 9/11; California as a state, and SF in particular, have lots of motivation, I think, to garner this business.

Whichever city is chosen, I'll be a charter flyer!

Chuck-
