I recently email Virgin about the Inflight Mags missing, and they said they are rapidly sending out a mag called Seatback. [8D]
...which basically tells you what's in the entertainment system on that aircraft, and how to drive it.
Any articles in "Seatback" are pretty much directly related to the current new movies playing on the system, and are usually a "one column" interview-type thing.
Entertainment guide it is. In-flight magazine in the traditional sense, no.
I still have a secret soft-spot for High Life (BA's in-flight mag). It often has articles relevant to the trip I'm making. Quite spooky... High Life also doesn't seem quite as advert-ridden as others, such as UA's "Hemispheres", although all these rags tend to rely on advertising revenue for their presence.
Lufthansa's "Magazin" is what you would expect from the Germans, lots of factual info, and often a good techie/operational item about the airline (pictures of A340s in bits, what goes on in the bowels of Munich Airport, etc.)...
