Given that the bowling starts at 6pm, I'll vote for a 3-4pm meet in the Pheasant to get started - what do y'all think?

Yeah i see what you've done there - you've built in time for the post-friday evening session recovery. :)

Actually, I was more thinking of building in time for a pre-Pheasant, Ibis-bar-drinking-arm-warmup - just to test the facilities don'tcha know ;)

Very sensible - no point risking arm injury by diving straight in at the Pheasant :D

Execellent - so I can count on finding someone in the Ibis bar who can give me a hand carrying the goodie bags to the Pheasant then ;)

onionz - absolutely, I'm no first-timer you know ;)

Pix - Of course, with the proviso that there's no risk of injury to my bowling/drinking arm :D

I'm looking forward to it too - should be a real good laugh. I'd encourage anyone that hasn't signed up yet to do so if they can make it :) It's the day before England v France after all ;)

The goodie bags are coming together nicely - many thanks to both Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Travelstore for providing items such as T Shirts, Mousemats, Mugs, Brollies, Keyrings and even Stereophonics CDs (well, they are on the V2 label, afterall). The bags are bolstered with V-Flyer Gold Luggage Tags, Fridge Magnets and various items from Lord Mannion's Estate.

Just to clear one thing up - it's a free raffle. Everyone gets one of the bags, randomly filled with any number of the goodies. But, you do have to be there to grab one (there's got to be some kind of incentive for you all to make an appearance!).

Also, for the bowling, the bowler who gets the highest score in a single game wins a 1:200 scale Virgin Atlantic A340-600. Think of it as a trophy with a bit more appeal than a plastic figure stuck on the top of a gaudy lump of wood.

Only a few more days to go, so if you're teetering on the edge of going - get your name on the list and don't miss out. Hey, you'll have a chance to meet the fabled Richard Mannion... (Richard - I'll get the autograph table set up for ya).

Everyone is welcome, but you may miss out on a goodie bag if your name isn't on the list in advance.

I just got news this week that my close friend got knighted by her majesty the queen and he is having a celebration party at the Landmark Hotel this saturday. Seems as if i wont be able to make this time either.....dam and there was me all ready with my autograph book for pixuk and mannion to sign. I guess I can't even get some of those goodie bags either, but then again my name is on the list so maybe I can!! Hope you all have fun and someone have a pint or two for me. Thought Mrs Decker was also going to be there - but Mr D would have to confirm that.

I think the general plan is to get to the Pheasant by 3pm-ish, so I'll probably be in the Ibis (bar) from about 1 or 2-ish.

I'll be getting the tube to the Terminals 123 station, and probably get the Hotel Hoppa from there to the Ibis. Depending how long that bus takes, i'll be at the Ibis bar around 1-2pm to give a hand carrying stuff.
