i wont be at tie ibis till around 6 got work stuff to sort out.
where will i be able to find you all at around 6:30
I certainly hope that everyone had a great time at the V-Flyer Social.
It's 10:00 Saturday morning here in California as I post this (I think about 18:00 there in the UK) so I suspect that at least a few of you have already been able to "bend your elbow" just a bit!
Someday we should have a "gathering" here in the San Francisco/San Jose area for those of us who were not able to join you all there in England!
Have fun all!!

It's now nearly 1:00 the following day in the UK, and may I be the first to say a good time was had by all! I left a bit early while everyone else was still eating, sorry about the rush off guys, but i was getting some urgent messages on my phone and had to rush off. Thanks Pix for organising evetything and putting together the goodie bags. Now i need to sleep...

Just got back home after an excellent afternoon, evening & night - thanks to everyone that turned up for making it a very enjoyable event
Of course, thanks must go to:
Pix for arranging it and making up the tags & goodie bags
VS and VTS for providing such generous freebies
Mr Mannion for providing more goodies
The Pheasant for allowing us to purchase copious amounts of beer, and a cracking meal
....and last but not least, honourable mention must go to Decker for being a bowling superstar (and not being a lightweight
)
Full report to follow (with pictures
)
Cheers
Michael

What a blast! Thanks Pix for organising it and the goody bags! Special thanks for the aircraft model which Mrs D has just lovingly assembled (after a false start with the tail fin
) and installed as pride of place "Bowling Trophy" in the dining room.
It was great to meet everybody and put faces to names.
Looking forward to the next one....

At the risk of repeating what has gone above, thanks to all involved.
It was great to actually meet people I feel I have known for years and put faces / personalities to the text I have been reading.
Special thanks to Pix for fixing everything / Richard, et al for the goodies and Decker for The Pheasant - that is a real find:D:D
I sincerely hope it is the first of many such gatherings, I will certainly put my name down for the next one. I am just glad I didn't try to keep up with Mcuth.
Nick - a lightweight! (in drinking terms, at least)

And now a more sober thank you to all who put the show together
I was extremely lucky to have left when I did because I think I kept getting the last train for each segment of my journey!
And I can't even remember how i got from the Pheasant back to Heathrow airport, but i must have somehow...
And thanks for those photos you've just put up in the gallery, Pix!

A somewhat belated thanks from me for all the efforts that you put in to making the day so memorable.
I too echo the entire range of thanks from Mcuth to all of you that truly entered into the spirit of things (some I know will take that literally)and made me as a relative newcomer to V-Flyer so welcome. Not once did I feel out of place and I have to say that within no time at all it felt as thought we had known one another for ages.
Thanks to everyone - here's to the next

Was I the only one to notice the distinct lack of women at the event?
Where's Buckingham Palace gates and some chain.....
It was good to put names to faces, apart from Pix. Phoning me from the Channel Event to tell me how good it is whilst I'm sat in a meeting!
Thanks,
Richard
