Just booked my milesplusmoney flights over to LA in Sept/Oct, PE out and UC back (suites........woohoo!) and remembered a few years ago treating an Upper Class FA, who told me some fascinating (some unrepeatable!) stories about the people met on their travels; a certain 'IT' Girl who demanded an upgrade from PE to UC ex LAX, she kicked up such a fuss she was warned she may be offloaded.
Also Fergie (Sarah, not Alex) was supposed to be one of the loveliest UC passengers this patient looked after.

Has anyone else got any idea of what to expect on an UC flight back from LA LA land?

well LAX doesn't have a clubhouse so you miss out on that a little
you get to use the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge though..?
in flight you get the biggest bed vport freedom menu in flight massage UC bar and great service!

I'm sure you'll enjoy but do share your experiences with a trip report!

Ok, whilst you are on stories (especially LHR-LAX) I will tell you one...

The first time I flew UC (about 3.5/4 years ago) was on an op-up, LHR-LAX, on Boxing Day. We were upgraded at check-in because we checked-in so late - not our fault at all (some complications with parking... a long and boring story in itself!).

We had rushed to the plane, thought we were in PE (that's where the check-in agent said we were sitting) and were amazed to find that we were seated in UC! Fantastic! There were a number of other op-ups in the cabin (re recognised them from check-in) including a young, trendy couple and their toddler...

We had the seats on the righthandside at the front of the second UC cabin (the one with the bar) - right behind a lavatory bulkhead.

Not very long before landing in LA, young and trendy couple get up (leaving toddler) and disappear into the lavatory infront of us! Toddler starts crying. Passengers complain to cabin crew that toddler is left unattended and upset. Crew member bashes on lavatory door saying that this is not allowed and to come out immediately. Couple ignore crew and come out about 10 minutes later (after seat-belt sign is illuminated) making smart comments to whole of cabin...

So first op-up and front row seats whilst couple join MH club... have flown UC quite a few times since, but haven't witnessed any other obvious club joiners...

LA is a good route to fly in Upper Class - nice long flight :)
