We will be flying back out of LAX to LHR and believe as UC passengers we can use Air Canada's Maple Lounge..is this okay?
The lounge is ok - nothing fantastic, but not bad.
It's fairly small as lounges go, but there is a TV, magazines, a few different seating areas. A reasonable selection of drinks (alcoholic and soft) and snacks (cheese and crackers, crisps/nibbles, cookies and fresh fruit - that sort of thing). I believe that they tend to bring a tray of sandwiches out nearer to flight time.
I also seem to remember (and assume that they still do it!) that Virgin (or CO passengers on the VS codeshare) have a "made to order" light bites type menu (only about three options - wraps/sandwishes, that sort of thing).
There is a VS staff member on hand to handle any queries.
No showers, no private restrooms (restroom shared with rest of terminal, but on "lounge level" floor - so not many other users...).
I think that there was an Internet terminal or two. Reasonable view of the tarmac I think.
Don't expect Clubhouse, then you wont be disappointed. Lounges always seem to be a less stressful/quieter way to spend time at an airport terminal...
Is that helpful?

Yes, you will be given the invitation to it at check-in.
Annemarg, there have been a few occasions reported when the invites were not provided, you may have to ask for them if they are not offered, it will make it easier when you get to the AC Lounge if you have them.
Any Problems ask to speak to Tiina Sauri the Clubhouse Concierge manager (and winner of the Flying Club Virgin Heroes award) Tiina will sort things out for you.
