Did you know that if a crew member has been helpful or made your flight a bt more special you can fill out a RAVE review on them.

RAVE stands for Recognised and Valued Employee.

You can ask the crew member for one or one of the Cabin Service supervisors or Flight Service Manager.

This RAVE review will go on the crew members file and will help when they go for promotion.

So make sure when you fly you recognise those hard working crew.

If there are a few crew you want to praise you need to fill in ONE RAVE review per crew member.

Thanks for your support! :D

I'll second that, if you get outstanding service then fill one of the forms in for the employee to be recognised.

I've provided feedback before in this manner, and it was greatly appreciated by the staff.

Thanks,
Richard

Will writing a RAVE review result in more recognition than a simple letter to FC?

There is one particular person I have gotten to know that I think does a fab job for the airline. I wrote to Flying Club recently to express my appreciation for his hard work. It took a while to get a response, but I did get a letter back acknowledging my feedback. I brought the letter to this person the next time I saw him. He was chuffed to see that I had gotten it, but he also said he had gotten his own as well mentioning that I had written in. I am assuming that his letter will be taken into account during his next appraisal.

I just got a rave review from a 10 year old on my last flight.

It said I smiled a lot, I was nice to lots of passengers and (this is the best bit) I was also quite pretty!
:)

Bless him,

Problem was everyone thought I had written it myself - PAH!

Hmmm, so now I find myself agreeing with a ten year old ;)

People are quick enough to complain, so we should all recognise service above and beyond the call when we receive it;)

The problem is, in my own experience anyway, VS have set the bar too high. We expect (or in some cases - demand) smiling, happy faces and staff for whom nothing is too much trouble, not even considering that these staff have had to put up with moaning pax from the moment they put on their uniform. If some people don't get the exceptional service they are very quick to let everyone know!!

It doesn't hurt to smile and say thank you - even if someone 'is only doing their job'. As Declan points out, the RAVE forms are there so lets make use of them.

Over the course of my travels with VS and other animals, I've probably filled in 4 or more RAVE forms. I always ask for one if a crew member 'goes the extra mile'. Only takes a moment and everyone benefits.

I've never once had any note back from filling in the form - I expect that's not part of the procedure.

The RAVE review will be recorded on crew members file.

Sadly from writing a RAVE only the crew member will benefit and not the passenger!! ;)

i don't want thanks for thanking someone, you just sometimes wonder if the form has an impact. which it clearly does!

I also agree that a RAVE review is such a good thing to do! However, I have one question about it. I did not have time to fill it out on the flight so I took it, filled it out, and sent it to the address it said to forward it too. Do you think that this will be okay? Thanks for the input.
