No idea when they are going although if I were to take an educated guess I would imagine them around for a little while longer.

The A343's I find very crampt. I had a pretty unpleasent flight back from the US last year. Having said that I also flew when they were new and thought they were great for legroom.... how things change.

Yep I would be miffed getting V:PORT one way and something worse the way back.... its something that Virgin lacks.... consistency across the fleet.

I dont mind Arcadia at all though. The screens are maybe a little small but its much better IFE than you get on other airlines. Nova is my pet hate ;-)

Im all in favour of getting rid of the A343s, they really do let the fleet down.

Im also not too impressed with Arcadia either, purely because of the small screen. My last flight on Lady Penelope had Arcardia and i didnt watch any films because i could barely see the screen. I could also see the UC pax infront watching their giant screens so i was very envious! I would prefer Nova to Arcadia anyday purely because of the screen size.

Anyway, they are both going to be replaced by V.Port, and thats great!

Im hoping that VS gets rid of the A343s completely, but i fear that they will be kept due to route expansion, either that of they will be sent to MAN to replace the 742s.

Most (if not all) of the A343s will be around for a while yet as there are plans to refit them with the UCS.

Every cloud has a silver lining as it means the end of the road for the Arcadia IFE system.

I assume you mean no games etc

Nova has 8 channels 6 usually movies 2 TV Shows
Cant remember how many Audio choices?

I think nova can do games in UC as the remotes have gaming buttons
I'm not sure how much work is needed to switch this on?

It would be difficult to add games in Y as the remotes are fixed into the side of the seat.
