Lounge Access in Singapore for UC flight

I have a question that the boys on Singapore forums have been unable to help with so thought Id try here.

Flying from Bali to London as follows:

Depensar - Singapore (SIN Biz Class)
Singapore - Hong Kong (SIN Economy) (No availability for award flights!)
Hong Kong - London (VS Upper Class)

Can I use the Silver Kris Lounge In Singapore as I will be connecting to a J class flight? I read on the Virgin site that if you're travelling in Upper Class on Virgin Atlantic, you can access Singapore Airlines' Raffles Class area of the Silver Kris Lounge located in Singapore Changi Airport at terminal 2 Is this correct?

I dont think you could get into the Singapore lounge on your J flight status
but you should be able to use the Singapore lounge with your *A Gold BD card as you are flying with SQ..

Thats my rather limited knowledge of *A Gold anyway..
I thought you can use any *A lounge? I certainly think you should be able to use the one with the carrier you'r flying with??
