A Virgin virgin

Hi everyone. I just discovered this website through flyertalk. I'll be flying VS007 from LHR-LAX on 22Aug (my trip is already in the "event" forum.) This is a fantastic site with people obviously dedicated to Virgin. After next weekend, I hope to see why!

I looked at the Seat Reviews, and I am booked in Seat 2K in a Suite (fingers crossed -- it looks like a 90%+ chance of being a Suite-equipped 747-400). It seems like a good seat on the Upper Deck. I know UC is a hybrid between J and F, so I'll be interested in comparing it to United First (which I will be flying to LHR).

Basically I just wanted to say hi and I am excited about experiencing my first Upper Class trip (beginning with the car service from my hotel in London and ending when it drops me home in LA). Let me know if anyone will be in the club on August 22!

Welcome aboard Biztraveller. Like yourself I am really new but everybody seems to have a good sense of humour and are really friendly. I've only been VS Y before and it was good. I am also on my first UC trip next month and am looking forward to it.

I definitely plan on doing a trip report for flyertalk, and I can post it here as well. I hear Virgin UC will compare very favorably with United F. I've been on trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific United F before, and it is very good. But it seems like with the ammenities both on board and in the clubhouse, Virgin tries to go the extra mile. We'll see!
