Upper Class Suite Seats

Hi everyone

I am flying next month to San Francisco and was wondering if anyoen could give me advice on the best seat to ask for?

On my previous occasion going back home to San Francisco six weeks ago I did not get the suite due to some technical fault with the aircraft, so I am looking forward to the suite this time.

If anyoene could give me some advice I would be very grateful.

By their very nature they are all the same I have sat right behind the bar and right in the nose no difference.I would go for a window rather than in the middle if you are travelling with someone again I would go for 2 windows one behind the other its not bad sitting across from each other but the whole cabin can hear your conversation.I am sure you will enjoy.

You can have a look at the seat ratings but really it depends what you are looking for during your flight(s).

On the 744 on the main deck the A zone tends to be quieter than the B zone where the bar is situated. On the starboard side in the A zone you are closer to the IFBT position which some people don't like, pax coming and going, smell of oils, etc..

On the upper deck you have part PE part UC, fewer seats and tends to be better if you want to sleep esp on the east-bound leg.

All the suites offer aisle access, all face forward, the upper deck ones are slightly longer.

There really isn't a bad seat it depends how you want to spend your time in the air.

My Husband and I have been travelling to London each year for many years(usually for New Year celebration). We have flown BA, UAL and Delta(business or Club World) from LAX in the past. Last January, we decided to try Virgin and Upper Class. We found the Flyer Talk Forum to be very helpful in planning our trip. We flew to/from LAX on flights 7/8 in row 7. Although we were disappointed that we were not able to experience the new suites, we were extremely pleased with our experience onboard and in the clubhouse. It was better than the other three airlines I mention above. We are flying to London again this year for New Year and are flying Virgin again in UC due to our past experience. Our questions regarding this thread and the helpful information in it are:

1. We are flying UC on flights 7/8 again. We have seats 8/9K on flight 7, but have seats 10/11K on flight 8. Does the massage station on the flights with the new suites have a closed panel on the port side so you can only enter the station from the starboard side? If so, would we do better to switch our seats to 10/11A(rows 10/11 were the first rows with two seats behind each other on the same side)?

2. Is this question a moot point? When we flew on flight 8 last time, the massage station was not staffed. We thought that it was because it was an overnight flight and most people want to sleep, but it may have been because our flight was no more than 25% full in UC.

We are looking forward to our trip and another great experience with Virgin.

Yes your better to avoid rows 10, 11 12K as these seats look directly at the beauty therapy area.

There will alsways be a BEauty Therapist on LHR flight, regardless of the loads.

Maybe she was sick so there was no IFBT on board that day.
