Having read many of the threads in this forum I think I've spoted an unusual demographic profile. It would seam that many of you enjoy flying with virgin (often UC or PE), enjoy staying in good quality hotels and eating and drinking fine food & wines. Most unusual though is that it seams that a high proportion of you, like me, enjoy topless motoring[8D].

I think this could be a fantastic marketing opportunity for vs and perhaps bmw or mercedes if they gave virgin flyer members 100k miles every time you got a new car (doesn't have to be topless). That would certainly supplement my travel requirements every two years:D.

What do you think?

I was more hacked that when I bought my CLK they wouldn't let me put it on my Amex - talk about a wasted points opportunity. [:(!]

What reason did they give? were they the dealer or amex?

The dealer - "sorry sir - we don't take Amex". [V]

I just increased my FC miles using VSCC to pay 4x the dealer's normal deposit on a new vehicle but they would not play with the whole balance.[:(!]Then again I do not think my poor battered card's credit limit would have sufficed:D

Chris,
If you have the cash anyway you can overpay your CC then the limit of the card becomes the positive balance plus the credit limit.

This is only useful if the card is fairly empty though;)
