Scraped or scrapped? :D

[pendant mode off]

Sorry i don't know either...sold maybe? Thinking about it, most scrapped a/c so far (retired as opposed to crashed) probably haven't had any IFE, or at least not the seat-back type anyway.

When plane's get scraped, were do IFE's go?

Are you looking to get one!!:)
I guess they'd be good if you had a big house !![8D];)

Seriously though most airlines bring in IFE systems with new metal, so I guess there isn't much of a resale market.[?]
I suppose some bits are kept as spares?

Pendant or Pedant even? :D;)

Would be interesting to find out what happens to the IFE bits - I wonder if they might get recycled or something....?

Surely, it remains with the aircraft when it is sold on. VS are bvery unlikely to scrap aircraft. They would sell onto to second tier airlines and eventually the aircrft complete with its IFE will end up flying mercenaries into Zimbabwe or something similar.:D

So the short answer probably that Virgin leave it where it is.

Yes i think that the IFE go with the a/c so as when we sold one 343 to bwia the ife went with it. As do SQ's and Ba's when they sell to other carriers like FJ and RG.

If they are sat in the mohave i persume the IFE is still all there. i duno!
