LHR T4 station to close (for a bit)

Not that it affects many of us, but there may be some who fly with the other one.... [:0]

The station is closing for 20 months to allow for expansion for the new T5. Passengers will have to get off at Hatton Cross tube and get on a bus to get to T4. Journey times will be around 5 mins longer (or so they say!)

Edited to add that T1, 2 and 3 passengers will still be able to use the tube line.

Sorry, this is effective from 20 Jan 2005.

In addition, on the weekend of 8/9 Jan, there will be no tube service to any LHR station - all services will terminate at Hatton Cross where a bus will take over.

What happens if you stay at the Hilton Terminal 4 and get the train to terminal 3 for Virgin. Will there be a bus service from the hotel?

I think this is just affecting the Piccadilly line Tube service, and not the Heathrow Express, which should be running as normal.
