Can anyone shed any light on this one please?

Over on the Dibb people are posting that they've been going to check in online (sometimes only 10 minutes after online check-in has 'opened') and they're unable to check-in, and are getting a message to the effect that too many people have used the online check-in and to check-in at the airport. A couple have rung Virgin at the time to query this and Virgin have advised that only a certain percentage can check in line???

Surely Virgin aren't restricting the amount of people able to use online check in? I've never (touch wood) had a problem so I'm wondering if there's no restriction if you're travelling UC or PE?

I'm confused. [:?]

I have been unable to check in on line when there are only exit or bulkhead seats not already pre allocated. This has been when travelling Gatwick PE as this makes up a fair amount of the seating in those sections

This kind of issue has been reported in this and this thread. It could be that too many people are trying to check in at one time, or that there are no available seats left for pre-booking. I'd keep trying, or get to the airport early to ensure your party is seated together.

Thanks,
Sarah

I'm pleased to say I managed to check in both myself (UC) and my friend (PE) with no problem at all [y]
