Which aircraft LHR to JNB?

Hi Everyone. Im off on my first UC flight next sunday (One week - YAH!) and having selected my seat online etc I was just wondering which aircraft would be used on this route. I have booked into seat 15A (want to be near the front - novalty for me) which shows this is to be a 747 but the route history here shows A340's used 100% on this route. Anyone know if they changing this or something? Just want to make sure I pre-book the best seat I can! Thanks.

Personally though id sit away from the bar and id trust Virgins website re plane availability.

speaking from the jnb perspective i have flown with VS 340-6 and 747-4 i seem to think that in the winter VS tend to use 747-4

Normally changes to a 744 at this time.

And as if to confirm the wisdom of VS045 and THEJOHN the database is showing B747-400 being used for the 15ths flight...
