I'm planning to book summer 08 flights to USA west coast. Last year we booked flights to USA in a Christmas / New Year Sale - does anyone know is there likely to be a sale coming up soon? If so, when would it start?

Thanks.

Ken.

Sales typically have a short booking window with a restricted travel date. In my experience Sales for the Summer Season at this time of year are rare, and even rarer would be a sale for the Summer Season.

Did you travel to the West Coast when you booked in the New Year Sale, where did you go ? When and to what destination ? And finally what did it cost ?

I travel a lot to the West Coast, pretty much all year round, and am curious if the New Year deal you got was indeed a sale or some smoke and mirrors.

Others may be able to comment if a sale is in the offing.

Last year's sale started on 23rd Dec (or thereabouts). We booked to Orlando ex LHR (plus Belfast LHR in and out) for about £440 return, which IIRC, was about £150 lower than price pre-sale.

Currently LHR MCO is £560, not including two BFS flights.

The drop down boxes for the US PE sale don't seem to work too well again. Also, it's up to the end of May, not usually so long, they must be getting desperate. [:?] Or BA have a similar sale perhaps?

Well, I doubt VS are feeling pressured by MaxJet at the moment (unless they own a stake in them, that is...) [;)]

Sure have... just picked up a couple of K's for April. (For less that the cost of an S plus companion fare taxes!)
