...the fact i've just booked Orlando 24th-29th December in the UCS!

My sister and I thought it would be a bit of a steal at £1500 each, with UCS both ways (subject of course to the usual disclaimer). We're justifying the cost by considering we won't be paying any accomodation, but really at this price is there any need to justify it[?][8D]

Ok a thread all about my trip is ridiculously extravagant but it really does feel good having a UCS booking and it'll be my first trip in the UCS so please allow me this moment of joy! :D

Had to speak to Reservations by phone since my web booking failed at the final hurdle, but the friendly chap still applied the online discount. He was in the North American call centre - i phoned about 11.30pm last night. I rang the UK centre this morning to give credit card details, and it seems they don't ticket it straight away. Anyone have any experience of when they tend to do so?

Particularly looking forward to some great service in that cosy little A zone!:)

Excellent news - though it's a bit of a shame you'll in LGW Clubhouse at the same time that I'll be in LHR Clubhouse on Xmas Eve :D

Cheers

Mcuth - tis a pity indeed! The very least VS could do is arrange a live video link between their clubhouses - they could use the existing broadband connection for the PCs :D

Do we really need a video link to drink champagne at the same time? ;):D

Onionz,
Do take pictures if possible so that we can have a proper TR.

Have a great time. Sorry I missed you on the boat trip.

Mcuth,

Oh i don't know if we need such a conferencing system, but the idea still has it merits surely?

We'll, no doubt, struggle by without it i'm sure.[8D]

ChuckC,

Thanks! I will endeavour to get some good shots, especially as the new cabin layout is uncharted territory at present.

Hopefully we will meet at the next V-Flyer gathering! :D

That is as good as it gets I think! I've seen those types of fares, but i think mine is a bit higher because of proxmity to xmas (could be wrong here). I think you probably hold the "cheapest Z class fare" record! :)

Hmmm...slowly an idea begins to form....does the LGW clubhouse have a WLAN? I'll have my laptop with me, you see, and it only takes Netmeeting or such like, and suddenly we are faced with an interactive streaming live video link-up or something like that...:D

When booking to go out to SFO, there was at least a £300 difference between flights (all classes) departing 17th Nov-25th Dec and those from 26th Dec onwards.

But that might put me off my champers :D
Looks like there is a WLAN in LGW - see this link - dunno how good it is or whether it gets to the Clubhouse or not. Prices are 1 hour=£5.00, 3 hours=£10.00, 24 hours=£16.50 :)

Hi Onionz,

This is a Z Class fare and the cheapest available other than rewards or using miles for MCO. Other than when VH did the offer of £350 upgrade each way then you could get 10 % off being an FC member too for some Caribbean destinations earlier this year.

Onionz that is so cool! Wolves27 and I just had our first experience of UC back from SFO ... i think the excitement of the whole thing came through in the TR ;):)

Crimbo in Disney will be so cool! I'm v.jealous - we have talked about doing that ourselves one day. Have a fantastic time!! Look forward to hearing all about it.
