SRB's reaction to strike threat

An interesting reaction from SRB indicating that those who want to go through with strike action may prefer to look elsewhere for employment. Didn't the USA government persue a similar thread in the 70's or 80's with a pilot strike that in the end hugely diminished the power of the unions?[:?]
