Urinals (!)

I read over on A.Net that a customer has ordered urinals to be installed on its A380s - two sets of four urinals in a lavatory onboard. Apparently research suggests that up to 70% of pax are male and this will improve hygiene (and not least crossed legs) for everyone on board and save space over convetional lavatories!

What do we think ... could it become a feature for Virgin!

Trying to keep out the crudness ..... from my experiences around the world its clear that through no fault of their own, individuals from certain countries clearly have no idea what a urinal (or a toilet for that matter) is for ... I think you would end up with all sorts of things being deposited in them that shouldnt be there [:0]...... and Im not talking about cigarette ends !!

Actually I'd like to make a specific comment here on the repeated complete lack of cleanliness on board VS even before a flight begins. In UC it stinks before anyone's even been in - I know because I invariably change into PJs while the a/c is still on the ground and the loo paper thing is still on the seat.

Stinks like an bog at Glastonbury.

I'm impressed, never managed to inspect the loos, the queue was always too long!

Back OT (I know, me??? LOL Nottingham Nick, take note, I'm behaving!!!) -- that urinal opening looks rather small...I can see the whole thing going pear after about three bumps of turbulence. Ugh.

I actually like the idea, but the opening needs to be much bigger. You know sometimes the stream divides in two and goes all haywire.

Stop me if I've said enough.

But you get my point.
