Bit cheeky this one.

What with the poor Euro exchange rate and because of all the hard work my 16 year old has done in preparation for his exams we've decided to cancel our Euro road trip and go to California in July. As an extra treat we're taking his best friend along as well. Now the wife and I are taking advantage of the spanking UC offer that's on at the moment but the boys are traveling down the back which in fairness they're going to have to get used to in the future being students[:p].

The question is we want to have the full UC experience but don't want the boys to be left out if we can avoid it. My question is, if we are really nice to the check in staff will they let us all check in together and use the UC security channel? We're happy to pay for CH access for them if available but would prefer not to go through the regular security lines if possible.

Thanks

As UC Pax you can normally check a guest in with you in another class.

Each UC passenger can take a guest in to the CH too.

Thanks guys that is good news. Can I ask one further question, if the boys are checking in with us can will they be able to use the private security channel as well or will they have to go through the regular route?

Thanks

As you are one party, there won't be a problem checking in together.

if it was one UC passenger and lots of Y / PE passengers, there may be some objection. [8D]

From my experience you won't have any problems with the Security Channel.

The staff are usually happy to have something to do as its not exactly hectic

Just had a look at the VS Agents website and the official policy is:
** Access to Virgin Atlantic's Private Security Channel is only available to Upper Class passengers and to Flying Club Gold members travelling together with one guest on a Virgin Atlantic flight.
Hope this helps,
