I'm actually glad that there's some options to change the menu more frequently creeping in. We've already got the ability to change the soup around, and I guess the dessert is the next easy option to change.

Having the same menu options around for three to four months was always a frequent gripe of mine, especially a couple of years ago when I seemed to be on a plane somewhere almost every week.

It must be a killer for the ultra-frequent (i.e. more than one trip per month) passenger, especially if the menu is poorly received.

I'm sure VS are aware that impressing the displaced pax from Eos and Silverjet is crucial right now - they will be switching (or returning) to VS, and getting them hooked at an early stage, before they shop around again, is going to be important.

Cheers,
Mike

Am I the only person on the planet that wouldn't mind paying may be £50 to £75 to retain the little extras in Upper Class, decent pillow, nice amenities, good chance of food choice, well stocked bar, decent afternoon tea and good plonk, it used to come as standard seems fuel tax surcharges etc just get a little moan and we then just accept it.

They need to retain the UCS clients and sorry but if PE isn't much different from UCS in service and amenity terms and people will think whats the big deal with upper and pass.

I would be very happy to pay another £50 - 75 if I thought the money was actually going to improve those things. The Rose I had on the way to JFK last week was just awful. Considering I can buy 6 bottles of very pleasant Boschendal Rose for £40 or so I find it unbelievable that some of the wines more resemble paint stripper. It doesn't cost much to provide appealing wines.

The food last week was good though, and this does seem to have improved in my opinion. I hope this is a long-term thing and not a temporary blip just to win over customers used to, quite frankly, far better on the now defunct business class airlines.

David.
