Singapore Airlines and Tier Points

Hi first post for me although I've been lurking around here for a while!

I have to go to Sydney in July/Aug and while I usually fly VS I was thinking of flying with Singapore to try out the thier new J seats and the A380, but I can't work out whether I would get 5 TPs per sector so 20 TP's in total or do I just get 10TP for the whole flight.

As I understand it, because each sector is a separate flight i.e. London-Singapore will have a different flight number to Singapore-Sydney, you will get 5 tier points per sector so 20 tier points in total.

Someone much wiser will come along and correct me if I'm talking total gibberish!
