I've just got back from Orlando on G-VROS.

The Upper Class Suite and mini bar look fantastic. Unfortunately I couldn't get any pictures as I didn't have my camera with me!!

Upstairs in Premium Economy one of the toilets and the forward wardrobe have been removed. More bizarre is the disappearance of the cabin crew jumpseat from the left side. There are now 42 seats on the Upper Deck instead of 38.

On the main deck, in "B" zone, a couple of the wardrobes have been taken out with 6 more Economy seats taking their place. The 12 Upper Class seats have been replaced by 16 of the new style Premium Economy seats in a 2-4-2 configuration.

I'm off to Orlando again this week and this time I will try and get some pictures......

Marc

Could you form an opinion as to whether up or downstairs now best in PE.

Hi,

Just looking at seat allocation to Orlando in November, I was going to select Row 72 in PE upstairs, but what do you think? Are the new PE seats in the main cabin better?

Look forward to your reply

Neil.

Hi Jilly & Neil,

Personally I would choose the Upper Deck. I find it more sedate and exclusive.

The new seats on the main deck have larger screens and laptop power. Also the four seats together in the middle are good for families travelling together.

Both Premium Economy cabins have two dedicated crew members looking after the passengers.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the "Hot off the Press" report[8D]

I agree with you that the upper deck seemes now the best bet for ex-LGW PE, as you could be in the middle four below.

Thanks once again

With two dedicated crew for each PE section, would the service be a lot better downstairs as there is 1 crew member for every 8 passengers as opposed to 21 upstairs, plus with bigger TV screens and new seats. Do you think seats in row 82 would still recline fully?

Am flying PE in Feb, now thinking should I change our seat requests to be downstairs:)Any advice would be appreciated!

Interesting that laptop power is only available downstairs in PE - presumably because the wiring was already there from the removed Recaro seats?

I think that would possibly sway me towards sitting downstairs, not to mention having a better chance of being first off. Only negative I can think of is being near bulkhead positions in Economy which can = screaming young children.

UCS cabin sounds great. Thanks Jetstreamer for the news. Really can't wait until Xmas Eve! :D

Thanks for the 'Heads-Up' Jetstreamer, this will make choosing between the upper and main decks a harder choice in the future.

We all look forward to you posting some pics next time you are on Oscar Sierra.

I'm back from Orlando (again!).

This time I managed to get a couple of pictures but unfortunately the quality is rather poor (I'm definitely no David Bailey!!!).

Nevertheless I will try and upload them.......

Also I need to correct some misinformation I gave about the Premium Economy seats on the main deck.

There is no laptop power and the PTVs are the standard Nova size. Sorry! [B)]

Thanks for the pic of the new bar Jetstreamer. There's a certain elegance and style to the cabin which looks very enticing! Looks very exclusive! :)

Shame about no laptop power on the downstairs PE - my previous theory was that it would be easy with the wiring already there from the Recaros. My updated theory is that since there's more seats, there's not enough to go round so everyone misses out. :D

Jetstreamer

Thanks for the tantilising glimpse of the LGW UCS fit out

The UCS looks really special ans appears not as cramped as on other configurations.

Thanks once again
