I've just done mine with my original 'red' membership number not my new 'silver'. Hopefully that will be OK.[?]

Hmmm, I provided my new silver instead of my old red. It'll work for at least one of us, I guess!

99% sure all the 'old' numbers are linked so you should be ok

Just done my claim (No. 860)

I entered my old red number and my current silver number, hope it doesn't confuse things.

I phoned flying club, they were unable to tell me my old red number so have used the new silver one. The guy on the phone seemed to think it would not make a difference.

Does anyone know how much the refund per flight will be?

Between £4 and £10 per flight.

1/3 of the original surcharge paid, I am sure I read that somewhere (which would agree with the £4 - £10)

Is that for each leg or a return flight? I presume it is a return.

Thanks

I did wonder how I was going to get my all families flight details on the form/web site as there did not seem to be provision to expand the sheet (unless you are a corporate customer and could add a spreadsheet)

I wrote to their info email and found I was not alone in my concern with this reply

'Due to feedback such as your email below, we are in the process of
adding a new feature that will allow you to enter as many flights as you need to on one claim. We anticipate that the new feature will be ready this weekend.'

And HLR, LGW has now been added to both columns. Me thinks the lawyers should have paid the web designers more..

BA was no problems as our FF accounts are active so have all the FF numbers. Not flying VS for such a long time I had forgotten logins binned cards so I was going to manually input the flights, got me scratching my head when LHR and LGW were not on the drop down list[?]

I see in earlier replies that reward flights would qualify for this.

In this period I used 4 reward flights on Continental miles using VS metal (round trip LHR - JFK - few days in NY - EWR down to MCO for a couple of weeks - MCO back to LGW).

Would I be pushing my luck to claim on this as it wasn't booked with VS? I think I know the answer, but one can always live in hope !

One other thing - I notice that one lot of flights I booked were on.......23/3/06. Talk about good timing !

Thanks

ISTBC If it was booked with Continental you won't be able to claim. The settlement is only relating to BA and VS as that is who paid regardless of whos metal you few on.

I dont suppose there is an option of being given miles instead of a cash refund is there? I would certainly prefer that and I would have though VS would do as it would cost them a lot less £££. Ian

Nope. In the UK the deal is cash to the claimants and any remaining is kept by the airline.

When it was first posted here lots of us registered our interest in making a claim. I wonder if they will make contact with us or what will happen?

Well....they've made contact! Received my official letter from the Settlement Administrator through the post yesterday, presumably others among us have too?

We have until 31/12/2012 to submit our claims. Looks like they're making life easy for us as well, no need to list all the flights so long as you provide frequent flier numbers - they'll do the rest [y]

Cheers
