Am i being stupid?

6 flights have left LGW this morning but only 5 planes have landed(vs044 due 13.09)
1 flight has left Man with the other delayed due to the incoming aircraft being late.
I thought they only had 8 747 between LGW/MAN? do they still have a LHR plane at LGW
there isn't any reason for the question only that i'm interested.

Maybe i'm missing something thats staring me in the face
thanks
Rob

No you're not being stupid, that's right. Somedays there are six flights out of LGW and somedays there are five. So one a/c will have been parked up overnight.
So you have six a/c out of LGW today and two out of MAN which makes 8. G-VFAB has gone back up to LHR, was only down for three days.

Sorry Rob just seen what you meant about the vegas a/c not having landed yet. Just checked and the VS 44 coming in today is on a LHR config a/c, so something must have gone tech yesterday but is ok now. Dont know which a/c it is though.

When they upload the flights this website is pretty accurate to check out which aircraft operated what route.

There is a similar website for Manchester movements.

Out of interest is anyone able to confirm if VS is operating charter/special flights from LGW-BOS at the moment. Throughout July and August there is a VS070 to BOS. Is this a charter by someone (which would explain why VS070 operates both LGW-BOS and BOS-LGW).

The 43 was operated by G-VROC yesterday.

thanks for that.
I'm flying to mco on Tuesday so I've been checking the delays. Fingers crossed everything will be ok. Don't want any delays because I'm driving straight to Clearwater.

Well fingers crossed you should be ok, the East coast has been ahmmered all day with flights being diverted, but it seems to be mostly the NYC, BOS, PHL area meaning LHR aircraft, so you should be ok.

As I have said many times delays can happy for a number of reasons and often worse thinking about them rather than experiencing them.

My last flight to MCO was delayed an hour and 45 prior to take off due to missing our slot, really it wasn't that bad, we still managed to touch down in MCO before the 15 and the BA. Fingers crossed the I4 will be trouble free.

Great website, if you're a 'in the closet' airplane enthusiast, like me! [:I][:I][:I]

Agreed - we had a 12 hour delay to JNB in June and it's not that bad as long as the ground staff are competent and communicate effectively...and as long as people don't get stressed about it it will all be fine - it doesn't matter how stressed you get - it won't make the a/c take off any quicker!! Isn't VS70 the Kingston - Lgw service?

I departed LAs for LGW on the 13th, we were on Mustang Sally.

I was suprised to see a LHR config then t dawned on me how I had been lucky enough to swap a G return from LAX to one from LAS.

The 19th also has G availability from LAS-LGW so I wonder if that will also be a LHR config.
