We're travelling back on the VS24 on the return from next years summer jaunt. Revivals will obviously be shut when we arrive. What other options are there for grabbing a shower before the trek home down the M4?
Thanks.

Most of the LHR hotels on Bath Road close to LHR do offer 'Day Use' rates. Other than that I dont think there's anything else you can use I'm afraid.

You could always book a few hours in the LHR Yotel which is linked to T4 I believe. All their bookings are based on hourly rates rather than night/day rates (although they do have a 4 hour minimum for bookings)

4 hours in a standard cabin is ~£27.00 and all cabins offer a shower.

Going on the weather we've had over the last couple of years you could probably just stand outside T3 and have a shower[:D]

Well also live down the M4 and just tend to make our way home if we arrive after the arrivals facilities close (which is usually the case! [:(!] ). We are home within an hour and 45 minutes (or so) and have the luxury of our own shower and comfort of home... If you have to get to a hotel or different terminal, to take a shower, then you could probably be virtually home by the time you have finished faffing about...

It does annoy me that the arrivals facilities close so early - there are a lot of flights that arrive after the lounge has closed... [n]

Thanks all for the replies.I might look at a hotel 'day rate' near the time as I don't fancy traipsing to another terminal. You are right Boo Boo,we'd probably be a good way down the M4 (but not quite home) by the time we'd faffed about (I just hate arriving home looking as if I've spent a night on the tiles).

I am sure that you wont look bad at all... we flew back from somewhere (longhaul) a year or two ago and, completely by chance, bumped into a friend at one of the M4 services. He was completely incredulous that we had both spent the night on a plane, but looked pretty much as fresh as daisies... [8D] (we don't tell friends that we fly business class...)

I do like to use arrivals lounges IF they are available and convenient when we arrive, but if they are not, then would rather just get back home.

Is the Diamond Air lounge still open landside T3?
