Hi all

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Hope someone can answer my queries.

I am flying into SFO (UC) then head via VAmerica (1st Class) to LAS.

My partner will be meeting me in SFO and she will pay for her lounge access when checking in. WIll i have to pay for lounge access coming off off UC and then heading out 1st and are there any revival type facilities (showers etc) when i gain entry?

We are both heading back LAS - SFO and i will be heading back to blighty UC whilst my partner heads off to BKK. Will i be allowed to sign her in as a guest to the CH as she will not be travelling on VA?

Thanks in advance

Frosty

Hi and welcome to V-Flyer.

Not sure of the answer to your first query, but I am sure another member will be along at some point to help you.

Re signing your partner in to the CH on your return flight, the answer to that is no. For you to take a guest in to the CH they need to be flying on a VS flight on that day.

On the first question - usually you would have to pay. Any flexibility is very much at the discretion of the local staff, I do believe some vflyers may have been able to gain access post-UC flight into SFO's CH, but it is very much not something you can assume will happen.

There are three bathrooms in the SFO CH, two have showers as I recall, though I've never used them. This is very much not a revivals-style facility, but, well, there are shower heads, so you can certainly avail yourself of the option!

Welcome Frosty.
To answer the first question, the only way to absolutely guarantee CH access is to pay the $40 each (please say hello to the lovely Claire for me whilst you're in there). A couple of showers are avaiable in the CH as indicated already. No flight with VS, no access to the CH as also stated.
I recently posted a report on my trip in 1st with VX flying LAS-SFO if you're interested.

Thanks for the replies.

So it looks like $40 when I arrive in SFO and a huge bribe when I am departing SFO for home, either that or a lounge that accepts priority pass... or cause chaos by booking a cheap VX flight, for my partner, with her having no intention of taking it hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm decisions decisions!
