Hi All
I have searced for a similar topic, but nothing surfaced!
My wife is flying AC to Vancouver and is a VS Silver member - what is the best way of converting AC miles for the return flight, into VS miles.?
I suppose she can join Aeroplan, but will probably not be flying them in the foreseeable future - so no point really.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers

There is no way - they are not a partner.

You could credit them to a BMI (or other star alliance program).

And before you think about booking it as a BMI codeshare on an AC flight (AC4xxx), no, that won't work either - VS specifically exclude them from earning.

As someone who's been trying to do this for years, I can assure you there's no economical (ie: without going through 4/5 schemes, losing every time) way of doing this.

Thanks for the info Oxmatt and Preiffer!
It was as i guessed, a bit of a long shot - looks like there's no point joining Aeroplan for one return flight!

Cheers
