Got back from hols in Antigua last week and have just read about a plane being damaged by ground staff in Martinique!

The day before we came back the Saturday Virgin flight to LGW was cancelled as the plane developed an engine problem. When we got to the airport for our Sunday night BA flight back we saw Virgin cabin crew telling their passengers that the plane still had problems and the passengers would have to spend a 2nd additional night in a hotel![:(]

During our fortnight in Antigua we heard about flights being combined - EG the Barbados and Antigua flights being merged and the plane going to Barbados first and then back via Antigua. Same for St Lucia. Makes financial sense in my opinion.

Seems like Virgin are having a rough old time of it out there at the moment - not their fault of course. Hope things get better for them!

Was just chatting with one of my colleagues who was due on the delayed UVF-LGW flight. She said VS handled it brilliantly and scattered them all over the island with hotel accomodation taking them there and back the next day. She couldn't criticise the airline at all.

This has already been discussed here. I am therefore going to lock this thread to avoid duplication.
