Just got an email from 'Virgin Atlantic Airlines'. Apparently, they'd like me to be the beneficiary of $16,000,000! Well, in such uncertain economic times, it would seem churlish to refuse. What to do, what to do...

Ask for it in Miles on a 1-1 basis. So much easier than trying to get all that cash out of Nigeria......

I bet Virgin is wishing it had never got involved with Nigeria....

Not a bad idea Mr Wheeler. Mind you, with 16 million FC miles, I'm sure to lose out on accrual of tier points. I'll be bumped down to red in two years! Is it really worth it?

Red in UC - I can live with that. Lets face it, don't have to worry about op-up pecking order. [:)] Just think of all those Mojitos and No.10 G&T at the bar.

It's Friday. It's half past three. What else could I be thinking about?*

Boo - as and when our Nigerian friends come up with the goods, the miles are yours, I promise.

I can almost taste the lime. Or maybe lemon. Good chance it'll be Bombay Saphire as well. Oh well...

Could be worse, could be a non-descript, generic, cheap, east european knock off.

Personally, at times like these, it's kind of one to remember the newlyweds...those young lovers just setting out on their path of life together, so much promise and yet, so many challenges along the way. Taking away financial hardship as one of those challenges would be the sporting thing to do, Doctor.

Thus, I would suggest you quietly provide Neil's personal information from the V-Flyer files to 'Virgin Atlantic Airlines,' including his PayPal data. Imagine the look of joy on the boy's face when he wakes up one morning to find $16,000,000 in his bank account! You would go to heaven for that, Doctor; straight to heaven.

The very notion sets my philanthropic tendencies positively a-tingling. What a thoughtful wedding gift! To take a young couple from a third-world city and give them a chance such as this! GJ, your heart is most clearly in the right place.

Blackadder: 'You didn't spot the deliberate mistake, when I mentioned the great universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Hull...'

Melchett: 'Yes, Oxford's a complete dump!'

You will find no heart more filled with Christian charity, sir, than my own. Keep us posted on this exciting act of kindness on your part.

A lot of airlines say miles have a nominal value of £0.001 or whatever - so that makes 16,000,000,000 miles [y].
