Hi,
not needing it that often I am to tightfisted to spend money on expertflyer and have tried using seatcounter instead for finding out how full my flights might be. I am not after a certain reward fare class, just curious...

Now I noticed that the fare classes on seatcounter don't quite match what the fare code list on v-flyer describes. For example W for 'Full P E' is blank while there is a figure for R, a class that VS supposedly does not use? BTW: I used VS005 on 20/10/08 to check.

Has any one else noticed that and maybe has an appropriate list of codes or better tool?

Cheers,
Mike

That clears up the 'R' but what about the lack of 'W' in seatcounter? Has that code been changed, too? Any ideas?
Cheers,
Mike

W is still very much in force.

I'm not sure how seatcounter sources its data, but as VS (along with many other airlines) don't always align themselves with the standard use of fare classes, it could be making incorrect assumptions.

Miho, if you can put here what comes up in SeatCounter we may be able to help, but as Pete says, it might be a case of their results not matching with VS's fare codes. The full list is on the link provided and are all still valid, with the addition of R as a new fare code for Upper Class.

Could it be that W is sold out? If there are no seats for K & S that could be the case?

Thanks,
Sarah
