My Bose headphones arrived this morning (UPS) in a great carrying case. Included in the box, the IPod Shuffle.[^] No Free Cabin Bag![V]
I rang Bose to ask why and was informed that they were waiting for more to come into stock.[ii] Then, after checking my order details, the guy said that I should only have recieved the IPod shuffle anyway.[?] According to him, the offer was an either/or free gift. I begged to differ and asked him to look on the website,www.bose.co.uk/virgin.
(he was unaware at this point that Virgin had this offer).[:(] When he read what I had read, he went away, then came back and said that Bose would honour the offer as per the website and he would make sure that the cabin bag was despatched as soon as possible.[y]
Because I had ordered all this on line, there was no space or box to quote the promotional number for my FC miles.[:?] When I mentioned this to the guy, he said I had to ring Virgin to get the miles!! I then pointed out that one of their reps should be ringing me for my details. Again, he was unaware of this.[:(] In the end I rang the Virgin Flying Club, seeing that this offer was on their website, (under Messages - Your Offers). He didn't know about this and when he looked under messages, he couldn't find it.[:?] So then I asked him to look up the Bose.co.uk/Virgin website, he eventually came back and asked me when I had ordered the headphones, so I gave him my details - order number etc, and he assured me that the FC miles would be added within the next two weeks.[:)]
Dear oh dear, the right hand not seeing the left hand methinks. What a performance! So if anyone out there has ordered said phones, be prepared. On the other hand, you maybe lucky and not have any problems whatsoever [:w]. If you are thinking of ordering, I should do it before they change their website[:w]
